That being said, it has been good to have a chance for some family time. Me and the kids managed to get away to Mablethorpe for a week, during which we visited the Seal sanctuary, well worth a visit if you are in the area
The Seals are fab, such characters!
The beach was lovely, all they want to do is just play on the sand and in the sea, no slot machines or amusements required!
Dan has come along alot over the summer, he is now dry in the day, only needing nappies at night. My babies are growing up so fast!
We have also been busy on our allotment over the summer, and have reaped some rewards of our (ahem my) hard work! Some things have done really well, like onions, courgettes, strawberries, lettuce and radish, others not so well - most of the potatoes got eaten by slugs, as did the runner bean plants, I refuse to use pellets, or feed them beer that I'd rather drink myself so will have to try something else next year. It has been a real learning curve, but I thoroughly enjoy my time up there - it is so peacefull and relaxing! This weekend see's the annual weigh-in competition on the site, Andrew has been nurturing his onions for weeks in preperation!

We went to Mablethorpe too and to the Seal Sanctuary! We loved it, one of the trips out we've done.
As for the slugs, I use some organic child/pet friendly pellets when they are really bad.
It's great isnt it? I will have to get some friendly pellets next year.
